has launched the Technology Leadership Index.
The Technology Leadership Index (TLI)
tracks the cumulative performance of 300+ leading technology firms
(click here for member list) vis a vis the
Dow Jones Industrial Average, the S&P 500, and the Fortune 500. Since 2006, the TLI has averaged a
-0.04 % difference from the DJIA,
4.4 % from the S&P, and
-1.25 % from the Fortune 500 companies
although currently the TLI is
-24.06 % above where it was in January 2006, vs.
-15.7 % for the DJIA,
-25.35 % for the S&P 500, and
